About Dennis Wilson
You can still build a powerful, resilient physique.
A limitation changes the route. It does not have to erase the destination.
The pivot
I started training when I was 13 years old. For the last 16 years, I have been a marathon runner, a lifter, and everything in between—on and off, through every phase of life.
At 29, osteoarthritis in both knees forced me to completely re-evaluate how I train. I could not run anymore, and I could not do heavy legs. Without a pivot, I knew I would end up feeling soft, broken, and invisible.
That pivot led me into calisthenics and bodyweight training. The work became less about what I could force and more about what I could control.
“I started training when I was 13 years old. For the last 16 years, I've been a marathon runner, a lifter, and everything in between—on and off, through every phase of life. But at 29, osteoarthritis in both knees forced me to completely re-evaluate how I train. I couldn't run anymore, and I couldn't do heavy legs. I realized that without a pivot, I would end up soft, broken, and invisible. That's when I dove into calisthenics and bodyweight training. I've spent 16 years learning how the body works. Now, I use that knowledge to help individuals who feel limited by their bodies or their joints realize they can still build a capable, healthy, powerful, and resilient physique. You don't have to be a broken athlete. You can be a smart one.”— Dennis Wilson
How I coach
Built around a person, not performed at them.
Coaching is a process of practice, expression, experimentation, and making capability distinctly your own. I use hybrid calisthenics, general exercise, and joint-friendly hypertrophy to create the right challenge for your body.
I focus on volume, technique, range of motion, and increasing functional capability and strength. I do not coach ego lifting. I coach regular individuals who want confidence and control in everyday life.
